The UIPM Industrialization Project of Laiwu Sanhe Technology Co., Ltd
Under entrustment of the National Development and Reform Commission of China, on the 2nd of March 2006, the Development and Reform Commission of Shandong Province organised concerning exports
to access “The Primary Design of the UIPM Industrialisation Project of Laiwu Sanhe Technology
Co., Ltd”, which was drawn up by the Design and Research Institute of China Electronic Systems
Engineering Company (CESEC).
After the assessment of the nine aspects of the project, namely, construction scale and plan, industrial art plan, equipment models, master plan of the transportation, civil engineering, public programme,
environmental protection and occupational health and safety, energy conservation and comprehensive
utilisation, as well as budgetary estimate, all the exports agreed that UIPM integrates high-voltage
power semiconductor devices, low-voltage IC and control software in the same module. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, compact structure, high reliability, simple external line connecting, good
interchangeability, easy maintenance and installation, excellent structural complexity, uncomplicated
design, and low price. In addition, the industrial arts of the UIPM are advanced, the equipment models are sensible. The module also meets the state’s industrial policies and has huge social and economic
benefits. If this project completes, it will be the largest module production base in China.
At the same time, it will drive the development of the related industry and have a bright market prospect.
The project assessment committee consists of one Chief Director, and six related directors. All the
directors are the exports of the concerning areas, with the Chief Director, Professor Li Aiwen from Shandong University. The member of Laiwu Standing Committee of CPC, the Secretary of the Working Committee of Laiwu High and New Technology Development Zone, the Director of the Management Committee
of Laiwu High and New Technology Development Zone, Wang Guanghua and the Director of Laiwu
Development and Reform Committee, Yin Xiulin, as well as other leaders participated in the whole assessment process. They expressed that the local government would spare no effort to support the development of the enterprise as always. Furthermore, they will continue to provide more preferential policies to
the project’s growing in size and strength, by doing this, to make the due contribution to the development of the local economy.
To ensure the assessment work smoothly, Li Jin, Li Jingban, Song Jinsu, Zhang Xiaochen and other
staff have done a great job in car arrangement, accommodation, living and meeting affairs. They have
set up a team to plan the job carefully and scientifically, which received the appraisal from the leaders
and the exports.
